Sex Discrimination Act 1975 (Amendment) Regulations 2008 (SI 2008/656)
Commence 6 April 2008. Amend the Sex Discrimination Act 1975 in regards to the definition of sex harassment; the definition of discrimination on grounds of pregnancy or maternity leave; and the exceptions applicable to claims of discrimination on grounds of maternity leave. The regulations also make it unlawful for an employer to fail to take reasonably practicable steps to protect an employee from persistent third party harassment where the employer has knowledge of such harassment.
