The City Law School is seeking to appoint two permanent Lecturer/Senior Lecturers to join our exceptional team on the Bar Vocational Studies course. We are looking for qualified barristers or solicitors with first-hand experience of professional practice in England and Wales. Previous experience of teaching is desirable but not essential as training will be provided to the successful candidate. We require individuals who can deliver knowledge and skills, including advocacy, on the Civil and/or Criminal parts of the course. Applications are welcome from all areas of practice.
Teaching on the BVS mostly takes place between September and March and marking between February and September. The City Law School encourages and supports BVS tutors to maintain active links with the Professions subject to teaching commitments. There is a significant number of individuals in the team who enjoy the benefits of a stimulating and rewarding career at City alongside maintaining a practice or a part-time judicial appointment.
