AML HELP

In brief

Solicitors who want legal advice on anti-money laundering (AML) compliance can access an online directory of solicitors who have a dedicated practice in this area. The Law Society, which established the directory, already provides AML guidance online, and it advises solicitors to continue to consult this in the first instance. But, it says, where legal advice is required, the solicitors in the directory will provide 30 minutes of free legal advice on money laundering issues. Advice is available on issues such as how much information constitutes a suspicion of money laundering and whether or not you are able to tip off a client.
