Law firm Anthony Gold has announced that one of its earliest partners, Howard Lerman, passed away on Sunday 23 April 2023.

Howard joined founder Tony Gold’s firm in Streatham in 1974. During his 45 years with Anthony Gold, he held roles as head of conveyancing, senior partner and latterly head of commercial conveyancing, before his retirement in 2019.

Howard was an active Board member of the London Bridge Business Improvement District and trustee of various charitable and client trusts. He is survived by his wife, Louise, his children Georgina and Paul and grandchildren Rae, Morrison, Penelope and Ophelia.

Managing partner David Marshall said: ‘Howard was a much-loved colleague as well as an excellent lawyer—I was trained by him, and he was always there for me with sound and wise counsel throughout our time in partnership together. Everyone at Anthony Gold will miss him very much and our thoughts are with his family and friends.’
