The results of the 2016 Bar Council elections have been announced. 22 October 2015. The following people have been elected: Robin Allen QC, Derek Sweeting QC and Nick Vineall QC (self-employed QCs); Gemma de Cordova, Tim Devlin, Shobana Iyer, James Keeley, Eleanor Mawrey, Jacqueline Wall and Victoria Caroline Yates (self-employed juniors, over seven years’ call); Tom Cockroft, Richard Hoyle, Athena Markides and Francesca O’Neill (self-employed, less than seven years’ call); and Steven Bramley, Richard Posner, Angharad Mary Price and Grant Warnsby (employed, over seven years’ call). No applicants were received in the employed juniors under seven years’ call category.
