Bell Yard Kysen has appointed Liz Giles as an Account Director. She brings her extensive legal and regulatory communications expertise, from both the public and private sectors, to the benefit of our client base.
Liz began her career as a national broadcast journalist before moving into government communications, with roles at the Ministry of Justice, Home Office, the Department of Health, and as press secretary at the Department for Exiting the European Union. She has since worked in the private sector for both international law firms and communications consultancies, advising senior leaders on media strategy, reputation, disputes and complex, sensitive issues.
Melanie Riley, Managing Director at Bell Yard Kysen Communications, said:
"We're truly delighted to welcome Liz to our growing team. Her experience across both private practice legal sector and government gives her a rare understanding of how policy is shaped and how to handle intense media scrutiny on high-profile, contentious issues - exactly the kind of work our agency is known for. Liz has been a trusted adviser to senior partners, executives, ministers and organisational leaders throughout her career, and I have no doubt our clients will benefit enormously from her insight. With her also sitting as a magistrate on the East London bench, we'll all be minding our Ps and Qs to boot!"
Liz Giles added:
“It’s an exciting time to be joining Bell Yard Kysen as the agency builds on the opportunities created by the merger earlier this year. It feels like a new chapter for me too, both professionally and personally, and I’m looking forward to being part of what comes next. The chance to work alongside such a talented team, with high-calibre clients and interesting work makes this an attractive next step and being part of BYK’s continued success promises to be very rewarding.”
