Property team in the Thames Valley office grows by three

Blake Morgan has expanded its real estate department in the Thames Valley with the recruitment of three additional team members.

Andrew Farmery (pictured, centre) joins the firm as partner after 13 years with Shoosmiths, where he was also a real estate partner. He is widely experienced in a range of commercial property matters, including acquisitions, disposals and portfolio management.

In addition, senior associate George Panteli (left) has also joined the team. George was formerly senior legal counsel at Hewlett Packard Enterprise, where he advised on property matters across Europe, the Middle East and Africa; prior to this position he was a real estate associate with Shoosmiths.

Finally, senior solicitor Sophie Boswell (right) has joined from her former position as property legal counsel at DX Group. She qualified to practise with Shoosmiths, and spent more than three years as a solicitor in its commercial real estate team.

Phil Jardine, director of built environment at Blake Morgan, said of the appointments: ‘This is an exciting time for our real estate practice in Thames Valley as we grow our team in line with the continued investment in the regional property market. Andrew has an excellent reputation as a leading real estate expert and will be a great addition to the team. I would also like to welcome George and Sophie who will further strengthen our real estate offering in the region.’

Andrew Farmery added: ‘The Thames Valley is the best performing UK region outside of London and continues to drive investment in to the region's commercial property market. I am excited to join Blake Morgan, who have a well-established and highly regarded team of real estate lawyers in the region coupled with an ambition to strengthen further. It is also fantastic to have the opportunity to work again with George and Sophie, who share my commitment to ensure our clients achieve their business objectives.’
