Broadfield, a global law firm operating in a strategic partnership with Alvarez & Marsal Inc.'s affiliate, SHP Legal Services, has announced the appointment of David Brennand as a Partner in its corporate team in London.
A seasoned corporate lawyer with over 20 years’ experience, David brings a wealth of knowledge in investment funds as well as extensive expertise in joint venture arrangements.
David advises financial institutions, investment management groups and fund sponsors on mandates that traverse the spectrum of complexities applicable to investment funds, in addition to navigating intricate joint venture-type arrangements, using vehicles in a variety of jurisdictions.
David also represents an array of institutional investors in connection with negotiating the structures and terms applicable to their fund investments, managed accounts, seed capital arrangements, as well as their portfolio acquisitions and divestments in the secondaries market.
Much of David’s work has an international flavour; in particular, he has significant experience in acting for financial institutions located in MENA with respect to their joint venture-type arrangements across Europe and beyond while also assisting them develop associated fund products for investment by their MENA-based clients.
This appointment further bolsters Broadfield’s corporate offering and its investment funds capability, supporting the firm’s continued growth.
