Browne Jacobson—Christian Dingwall & Rebecca Hainsworth

Manchester duo strengthens health practice

National firm Browne Jacobson has bolstered the health team with the double appointment of Christian Dingwall and Rebecca Hainsworth in Manchester.

Christian, who joins the firm as a partner, was previously the head of the NHS corporate and commercial department at Hempsons. He specialises in advising on NHS governance, regulation and compliance, as well as corporate commercial law, and offers particular expertise in NHS transactions such as M&A deals and joint ventures.

Also joining the firm from Hempsons, Rebecca focuses her practice on corporate and competition matters. She previously worked as a legal adviser for NHS Improvement, and has extensive experience advising NHS bodies as well as public and private sector organisations on competition and merger control issues. She joins Browne Jacobson as a solicitor; with Rebecca and Christian’s additions, the firm’s Manchester team has expanded to 27 lawyers.

Health partner and head of the Manchester office Amanda Callaghan said: ‘Our health team continues to grow at an exceptional rate, and the addition of Christian and Rebecca, who have both been at the helm of major UK-wide NHS transactions, further signals our commitment to building our North West practice.

Healthcare continues to be a core focus of the firm, and it is an area in which we thrive. Having a strong health practice alongside an equally impressive social care practice is a real strength, giving us a distinct advantage in advising clients delivering integrated care projects. We are seeing a consistently high demand for our services from NHS bodies, local authorities and major independent sector providers, so will continue to grow our offering to match.’
