Browne Jacobson—Jackie Barnes

Private client team welcomes partner
UK & Ireland law firm Browne Jacobson has appointed Jackie Barnes as partner in the firm’s private client team.

Jackie joins from Geldards and is a qualified STEP Practitioner with more than 19 years’ experience advising on all aspects of wills, personal tax, trust and estate planning. She is recognised as a leading expert in her area by both Chambers and Partners High Net Worth and Legal 500.

Jackie joins the team at a time of continued growth for the firm’s private client offering and follows the appointment of additional partner Scott McKittrick earlier this year. Specialising in large family trusts and estate planning including cross-border issues, Jackie’s expertise enhances the team’s ability to deliver an exceptional, tailored service for its broad client base.

Lucy Worwood, partner and head of Browne Jacobson's private client team, said: 'The past few years have seen increased demand for our services which we anticipate will continue after the recent Budget prompting clients to reassess their estate planning strategies. We have responded by appointing Jackie, whose expertise enhances our commitment to delivering exceptional advisory services. We look forward to the continued growth and value we will provide to our clients.'

Jackie Barnes, partner at Browne Jacobson, said: 'I am pleased to join Browne Jacobson's private client team. The firm has an established reputation for delivering exceptional advisory services to clients, particularly in the complex domains of large family trust structures and estate planning.

'I am committed to collaborating with Lucy and our colleagues to build upon the team's considerable momentum and address the evolving needs of our clients effectively.'
