Next-generation firm moves into the Midlands

Cardiff-based law firm Carbon Law Partners has announced its expansion plans into the Midlands with the appointment of Toni Sharp as its first Birmingham-based partner.

Having qualified to practise in 2009, Toni (pictured) has formerly worked as a solicitor with Standley & Co in the West Midlands, and well as David Lee Solicitors and Setfords. She specialises in advising on HR and employment law within a range of sectors, including automotive, engineering and construction.

She commented: ‘I am delighted to be joining Carbon Law Partners as its first Birmingham-based partner. I am excited to be part of a forward-thinking and flexible business which allows me to be me, and to get the best outcomes for my clients. I’m very much looking forward to developing my legal business further as part of this growing commercial firm.’

Carbon Law Partners’ founder and chief executive Michael Burne added: ‘We’re thrilled to have Toni on board as our first Birmingham-based partner—she will be a significant asset in the on-going expansion of the firm. Toni encompasses all that we at Carbon Law Partners think a great lawyer should be; client focussed, results driven and entrepreneurial. Her appointment strengthens our existing HR and employment offer and is key to the promotion of our cross-practice capabilities in the Midlands, as well as across the UK.’
