Clarke Willmott boosts Southampton commercial property team with addition of partner Lee Edwards

Residential development and SME real estate specialist Lee Edwards has joined national law firm Clarke Willmott as a partner in its Southampton office.

Lee, who joins from Moore Barlow, brings extensive experience in land development, land promotion and secured lending, advising national, regional and local developers, alongside funders (clearing bank and specialist).

He has particular experience in securing development funding for both borrower and lender clients, with typical deal sizes ranging in value from £2 million to £50 million.

“Lee’s appointment reflects the continued growth of our Southampton team,” says Richard Swain, office head at Clarke Willmott in Southampton.

“His experience in the housebuilder and SME development sectors will add further strength to our housebuilder team and wider commercial property offering.”

“I was ready for a change,” adds Lee Edwards.

“I knew a number of people at Clarke Willmott and had always enjoyed working opposite them so decided that I would like to work on the same side. I’ll bring experience and know how, plus a sense of fun. I'm excited to see what we can achieve with the fantastic team I’m joining.”

Clarke Willmott is a national law firm with offices in Birmingham, Bristol, Cardiff, London, Manchester, Southampton and Taunton.
