Astex Therapeutics Ltd v Astrazeneca AB [2017] EWHC 1442 (Ch), [2017] All ER (D) 118 (Jun)
The Chancery Division made rulings in a dispute over a contract between the parties to develop compounds for the treatment of Alzheimer’s Disease. Among other things, it held that neither of the compounds created were ‘collaboration compounds’ within the meaning of the contract, so that the claimant company was not able to claim royalties on them.
