Cooke, Young & Keidan—Elizabeth Meade

Firm grows commercial disputes expertise with partner promotion

Boutique commercial disputes firm Cooke, Young & Keidan has promoted Elizabeth Meade from senior associate to partner. Elizabeth, who joined the firm in 2017, has played a key role in strengthening CYK’s reputation in the crypto and technology disputes space. Her promotion coincides with her return from maternity leave, underscoring the firm’s commitment to supporting career progression and recognising excellence.

Elizabeth is widely regarded for her expertise in financial services, technology and crypto disputes, as well as contentious regulatory matters. She has also built a growing advisory practice at the forefront of crypto-asset law and regulation, advising clients on complex and emerging issues. Described in The Legal 500 as ‘exceptional’ and in Chambers & Partners as a ‘fantastic lawyer – highly responsive, attentive to detail and very pragmatic’, she is recognised for delivering outstanding results in high-stakes cases.

Reflecting on her promotion, Elizabeth Meade said: ‘I’m incredibly proud to be joining the partnership at CYK. I love the work I do here, and the firm has provided me with so many opportunities to develop – I’m excited to help shape the next chapter of its growth.’

Managing partner Sinead O’Callaghan added: ‘Her promotion to partner is a reflection of her excellence as a lawyer and her commitment to both the ethos and development of the firm. It is very well deserved.’
