The Supreme Court allowed the appeal by the appellant firm of accountants in circumstances where it had been sued by the respondents for damages relating to negligent advice. The court held that the respondents could not maintain a claim against the appellant under the principle of res inter alios acta, transferred loss or unjust enrichment.
