Chai v Peng and others [2017] EWHC 792 (Fam), [2017] All ER (D) 83 (Apr)

The Family Division, in divorce proceedings following the breakdown of a 42-year marriage, with five children, ruled that there had been no room for a reduction from equality based on any differential between the contributions of the successful entrepreneur and businessman husband, and that of the wife. The wife would be awarded a lump sum financial remedy, exceeding £40m.
