Agricultural expert joins property team

New-model firm Excello Law has welcomed property development lawyer Becky Smyth to the firm.

Becky, who is based in Exeter, previously spent almost 13 years with Trowers & Hamlins, and has also worked at Thrings in Bristol. She offers extensive experience across the housing and agriculture sector, advising landowners, housebuilders, vendors and developers on a wide range of matters, with particular expertise in affordable housing and rural development projects.

Becky commented: ‘This move gives me the complete freedom to work with my clients and develop partnerships with them as an inherent part of their team. I am based in the heart of a rural community, and have a farming background, so bring both significant legal experience and a commitment to developing projects and partnerships that benefit the region and give local people homes and security.’

Joanne Losty, director at Excello Law, said: ‘Becky has extensive knowledge of the property development sector in the South West and brings valuable, additional expertise to our property and estates teams. She continues to work on her family farm so has a truly practical understanding of the challenges and opportunities facing landowners and developers today. We are delighted to welcome her to the firm.’
