Korcala v Polish Judicial Authority [2017] EWHC 167 (Admin), [2017] All ER (D) 77 (Feb)
The Divisional Court dismissed the appellant’s appeal against orders for his extradition to Poland. Despite having been found incapable of committing a criminal offence in Poland because of mental illness and ordered to be detained indefinitely, the appellant had been “convicted” and his escape from the mental hospital had been for the extradition offence of escape.
