Re X (A Child) (No 2) (reporting restriction orders: guidance) [2016] EWHC 1668 (Fam), [2016] All ER (D) 47 (Jul)

The Family Division granted a local authority’s application to extend a reporting restriction order until the conclusion of a directions hearing where there was a pressing need to protect the child and the adoptive parents from the enhanced glare of publicity. The court also gave guidance on anonymity and on the publication of judgments given in the Family Division or the Family Court.
