Firm strengthens commercial offering with tech law partner hire

City law firm Fladgate has announced the appointment of commercial outsourcing and tech law partner Nathan Evans.

Nathan has over ten years’ experience advising clients on strategic, complex and regulated procurements including platform development and licensing, system support and maintenance, digital transformation projects, and business process and cloud outsourcing.

His clients include multi-national consortia, global software firms (such as SAP), tech companies and fintech, trade tech, and legal tech start-ups.

Commenting on his appointment, Nathan said: 'I am excited to be joining Fladgate’s technology practice and adding my experience to that of my extremely talented new colleagues and an already impressive department. I’m sure that together we will provide invaluable specialist support to our clients operating at the forefront of established and burgeoning technology sectors.'

David Robinson, partner and head of corporate at Fladgate, commented: 'At a time when technological advancements and widespread regulatory changes are afoot, it is more important than ever that clients have access to an evolving bench of tech and legal experts who they can rely on to advise on their commercial objectives. To this end, we are delighted to welcome Nathan to our firm, whose sector knowledge further adds to our own.'

Grant Gordon, managing partner at Fladgate, commented: 'We have a reputation as a firm for working with organisations that are leaders, and often ‘game changers’, in fast moving sectors and providing specialist industry-focused experience across their needs. Nathan’s appointment adds valuable breadth to our service for technology clients.'

Nathan’s appointment follows the recent hires of regulatory disputes partner Douglas Cherry, immigration partner Antonia Torr, and real estate litigation partner Michael Metliss. Nathan joins Fladgate, a top 100 UK law firm, as it continues its ambitious three-year growth strategy and accelerated lateral hire programme, becoming Fladgate’s 16th lateral hire since the start of 2021.
