Fladgate expands with double partner appointment
Fladgate LLP has welcomed two additional partners to the team, Sandra Bates and Helen Curtis-Goulding.
Strengthening the corporate practice is Sandra Bates (pictured), who has joined the firm from Pillsbury Winthrop Shaw Pittman where she was a partner for almost three years. Sandra is highly experienced in the corporate field, in particular in transactions within the mining, oil and gas, and technology sectors. She advises on corporate finance, joint ventures, M&A deals and securities transactions.
Head of corporate Grant Gordon said: ‘We are delighted to welcome Sandra to Fladgate. Her experience of working on an international platform and her broad network of connections will provide real added value to clients of our M&A and energy sector practices, both of which have been particularly active recently’.
Sandra added: ‘I am very excited to be joining such a dynamic and progressive firm and well-established team. I look forward to being able to offer clients the wide-ranging expertise and breadth of experience that is available at Fladgate’.
The real estate team has also expanded with the addition of Helen Curtis-Goulding. After over nine years with Mishcon de Reya, Helen will now take on the partner role at Fladgate where she will head the residential property department. She is experienced in residential transactions on behalf of both domestic and international clients, from private individuals to commercial entities including offshore banks.
Fladgate’s head of real estate, Stephen Lewis, said: ‘Residential real estate is now a key component of the wider property market and as a firm it is an area that we wish to invest further in. We are delighted that Helen is joining us as the new head of our residential real estate department and we are sure that her experience and market expertise will significantly enhance our service offering in this important sector for Fladgate’.
Helen also commented: ‘I am very excited to be joining such a prestigious firm, at what feels like a pivotal time in their expansion. The firm’s reputation in the real estate sector, coupled with their strong private client base, makes the position incredibly interesting and I am keen to explore the synergies between my existing contacts and, the firm’s existing and future clients. In doing so, I hope to bolster the firms existing reputation in this area’.
