Firm welcomes head of the travel team

City firm Fox Williams has announced the arrival of travel law specialist Rhys Griffiths, who joins the firm as partner and head of the travel group.

Rhys joins the firm after more than 15 years at Fieldfisher, where he headed the travel team. He focuses his practice on advising travel clients on the wide range of legal and regulatory requirements that apply to the sale of travel services in Europe, and he regularly represents clients in investigations and proceedings by regulators and industry trade associations.

Paul Osborne, senior partner at Fox Williams, commented: ‘Rhys’s expertise and proven ability in delivering regulatory advice to businesses in the travel industry will enable Fox Williams to significantly broaden our offering in this sector. Developments in the travel industry mean that the clients Rhys acts for will be able to benefit from our recognised expertise in fintech, data privacy and commercial contracts, as well as corporate, employment and immigration.’

Rhys Griffiths added: ‘I am delighted to be joining Fox Williams with a mandate to lead a multi-disciplinary travel sector team capable of offering a one-stop legal service to the travel industry. The strength of Fox Williams’ existing retail, agency and distribution platform is a perfect fit with my travel expertise, which will allow me to expand and deepen the service we can offer our clients in the travel industry.’
