Firm grows insurance team

Weightmans has welcomed well-known insurance lawyer Francis Mackie from the London office of Edwards Wildman Palmer. Francis’s appointment forms part of the firm’s strategy to significantly grow the insurance side of the business.
 
Francis Mackie has practised in the sector for over 30 years, and brings a wide range and depth of experience to the firm, and an established international perspective to the existing London market team. His presence is part of the drive to create and establish a greater profile for Weightmans in the London market, building on its existing success in the professional indemnity, insurance and reinsurance markets.
 
Kieran Jones, partner and director of insurance at Weightmans says: “We are incredibly excited about Francis’ arrival at Weightmans. This is the next step in the development of our practice servicing the London market. We are serious about our growth plans, and Francis brings the vital knowledge and expertise we require to develop our client base further throughout London, the rest of the UK and beyond.”
