Funding growth

Litigation funding will continue to see ‘high levels of growth’ not only geographically but in terms of fund raising investment levels and case types, according to Neil Purslow, co-founder of Therium Capital Management. Writing in NLJ this week, he predicts a growth of litigation funding in the financial services, energy and infrastructure sectors, as well as lot of work in group claims and investor state arbitrations. Research by law firm RPC found a 25% increase in litigation funding in the UK in 2016.
