HFW—Jeremy Shebson & Richard Crump

Managing partner & senior partner elected to lead the firm

Global firm HFW has elected its new global management team, with Jeremy Shebson taking the reins as managing partner and Richard Crump winning re-election as its global senior partner. Both Jeremy and Richard will begin their terms on 1 April 2019.

Jeremy (pictured) is a partner in the aerospace group and a member of the global strategy board, who joined the firm in 2011. He is also the head of HFW’s Brazil practice, and offers particular expertise in aviation and insurance cases in Latin American jurisdictions. He will replace current managing partner Marcus Bowman, who is retiring from the firm after more than 30 years.

Jeremy commented: ‘I am proud and honoured to have been elected by the partners to this role. These are increasingly challenging times for global law firms, but I passionately believe in HFW and that through effective communication, innovation, efficiency and teamwork, we can deliver positive and sustainable growth across our entire business. I would also like to thank Marcus for his hard work and significant contribution to the firm.’

Richard Crump has held the position of HFW’s senior partner for more than a decade, with this year marking his fourth re-election. He is based in Singapore, and specialises in shipping disputes.

Richard said: ‘This is an exciting time to be senior partner of HFW. The firm has changed beyond all recognition over the past few years and we have ambitious plans to continue the growth and development of our practice across our core sectors, services and international offices. I would like to thank our partners for their continued support in electing me to a fifth term and very much look forward to working together with Jeremy.’
