Firm strengthens the team with a promotion & appointment

Reputation management law firm Himsworth Scott has expanded with the promotion of Lorna Caddy to director, and the appointment of Steven Hudson as senior associate.

Lorna (pictured), whose promotion brings the number of the directors in the firm to four, is an experienced intellectual property and media specialist. She joined the firm in 2015 after more than 13 years with Taylor Wessing LLP, and offers expertise in a wide range of relevant matters within the IP and media fields.

Matt Himsworth, founding director at Himsworth Scott, said of Lorna’s promotion:

‘Lorna’s excellence in a range of intellectual property areas, as well as media law, adds a great deal to the firm’s overall reputation management capabilities. She’s technically brilliant, loved by clients and colleagues and always brings an extra dimension to our thinking. Her appointment as a director is well deserved.’

Steven joins the firm after almost seven years with Harbottle & Lewis, before which he spent a number of years at Schillings where he formerly worked with the founders of Himsworth Scott. He specialises in media and information law, and focuses his practice on defamation, privacy, data protection, confidence and harassment.

Matt said: ‘Steven is a natural fit for us. He has a great track record and has previously won recognition for his work as a winner of the reputation lawyer of the year award at CityWealth’s Future Leaders Awards in 2016. After working together during our shared time at Schillings, it really is great to have him back in the family again and to have his expertise available to our clients.’
