Promotions round sees 30 join the partnership around the globe

Hogan Lovells has kickstarted the new year with the promotion of 30 of its lawyers to partner positions and 47 to counsel across its global network.

Included in the promotions round, which spanned a wide range of practice areas, were the appointments of six new partners in the firm’s London office. These were:

  • Katie Gill, an acquisition and cross-border finance specialist;
  • Ben Hornan, an international arbitration practitioner;
  • Katie McConnell, an IP expert with a particular focus on patent disputes;
  • Jamie Rogers, an insurance and reinsurance specialist in the litigation practice group;
  • Ben Sulaiman, a finance expert in the oil and gas field; and
  • Paul Tonkin, a member of the real estate disputes team.

In addition to the six partners, the London office also saw the appointment of eight of its lawyers to counsel: Francis Booth in banking and finance; Nathan Buckley in project finance; Neil Chisholm in corporate and regulatory insurance; patent litigator Emma Fulton; Oliver Humphrey in commercial litigation; David Palmer in the international debt capital markets group; Hannah Piper in financial services disputes; and Oliver Wilson in the commercial team.

As well the appointments in the London office, the promotion round also saw nine join the partnership in the US, 13 in continental Europe, and one apiece in Beijing and Hong Kong.

Commenting on the promotions, global CEO of Hogan Lovells Steve Immelt said: ‘These promotions reflect the quality, breadth, and depth of our diverse practice around the world and our commitment to nurturing and growing our talent pipeline. I congratulate all those who were promoted and wish them every success as they continue their career with us.’
