What is the deadline for putting a claim form in the post (or DX etc)?

What is the deadline for putting a claim form in the post (or DX etc)? CPR 7.5(1) now says it is “before 12.00 midnight on the calendar day four months after the date of issue of the claim form.” Suppose we issue on 1 January so the calendar day four months later is 1 May. Does the last minute for posting begin at 11.59pm on 30 April or at 11.59pm on 1 May?

At 11.59pm on 1 May because of the use of the word “calendar” day.
