LawCare and LawWorks to receive funding boost

LawWorks, which connects people who can’t afford legal advice with pro bono support, and LawCare, which helps legal professionals with stress, addiction and mental health issues, are both to receive a further three years of Law Society funding

LawWorks will receive £130,000 and LawCare £170,000 in the first year, starting from November.

Law Society executive director of membership and external affairs, Louise Hanson said: ‘Lawyers face intense pressures including long working hours, heavy workloads and burnout. Access to justice is fundamental and it is vital that there is support for those who cannot afford legal advice.’
