Lime Solicitors announces four promotions

Consumer champion law firm Lime Solicitors has announced four promotions across its medical negligence and inheritance disputes teams.

Effective 1 November 2026, medical negligence solicitors Rhea Javed, based in London, and Maryam Abdullah, based in Leicester, have been promoted to legal director.

Rhea handles clinical negligence claims across a wide range of medical specialisms, including birth injury, wrongful birth, ophthalmology, neurology, oncology, orthopaedic surgery, cardiology, gynaecology, obstetrics, radiology, emergency medicine and TVT mesh claims. She also works on fatal claims and supports clients through the inquest process.

Maryam represents claimants who have suffered harm as a result of clinical negligence by hospitals, GPs and other healthcare professionals. She specialises in complex clinical negligence claims, with particular expertise in birth and maternity, gynaecology, ophthalmology, orthopaedic, and TVT mesh litigation.

Anna Morris, based in Stratford-upon-Avon, has been promoted to senior associate. She specialises in contentious private client matters, including will disputes, claims under the Inheritance (Provision for Family and Dependants) Act 1975 and contested Court of Protection proceedings.

Steph Shorer, based in Brighton, has been promoted to associate. Her clinical negligence experience includes orthopaedic injuries, delayed diagnosis and fatal injury claims. She has also supported partners on high-value cases involving brain injuries, birth injuries and ophthalmic negligence.

Tony Hannington, partner and head of Lime Solicitors, said: “These promotions recognise the expertise, commitment and sound judgement our people bring to some of the most challenging cases our clients face.

“Whether pursuing complex clinical negligence claims or resolving sensitive disputes involving families and estates, their work can make a real difference to people at difficult points in their lives.

“Developing talented lawyers and giving them the opportunity to take on greater responsibility is vital to the future of Lime Solicitors. These promotions reflect the strength of our teams and our continued commitment to delivering the specialist advice and personal support our clients need.”
