LNB news: Law Society publishes information on changes to Damages Claim pilot scheme

The Law Society has issued an announcement regarding the new mandatory online process for bringing claims under the Damages Claim pilot scheme, governed by CPR PD 51ZB

Lexis®Library update: From Spring 2022, those wishing to issue a claim that is covered by CPR PD 51ZB will have to register with the MyHMCTS platform and issue the claim via the damages claims service. HM Courts and Tribunals Service (HMCTS) is hosting two Q&A webinars to help users to prepare for these changes and has advised firms to start using the new service immediately.

The upcoming Q&A webinars will be held on 1 March 2022 at 11 am and 2 March 2022 at 11 am. Those wishing to attend can register by emailing DamagesClaims@justice.gov.uk before 5 pm on 28 February 2022 with their name, email address and preferred date.
