LNB news: Letter published on government response to domestic violence amid coronavirus (COVID-19)

The Home Secretary, Priti Patel, has written a response to the Domestic Abuse Commission and Victims Commissioner regarding support for victims of domestic abuse in light of the new coronavirus (COVID-19) lockdown.

Lexis®Library update: Patel states that £25m out of the £76m allocated for charities supporting victims of domestic and sexual abuse, vulnerable children and their families and victims of modern slavery has been paid to organisations of domestic abuse.

The Home Office will be providing £945,000 in Coronavirus funding to 31 domestic abuse organisations to support them with increased helpline and training service, amongst others measures.
