LNB news: Written submissions welcomed on Police, Crime, Sentencing and Courts Bill

Lexis®Library update: The Public Bill Committee is inviting written submissions on the Police, Crime, Sentencing and Courts Bill
It is advised that submissions are sent as soon as possible, as the first sitting of the Committee is 18 May 2021 and the Committee is scheduled to report on 24 June 2021, although this may be sooner.

The Bill covers:

• police protections

• the prevention, investigation and prosecution of crime

• public order and unauthorised encampments

• road traffic

• cautions

• sentencing and release

• youth justice and secure children’s homes

• management and rehabilitation of offenders

• procedure in courts and tribunals

Evidence should be emailed to scrutiny@parliament.uk.
