Commercial firm promotes 20 lawyers

Maclay Murray & Spens LLP (MMS), the UK-wide leading commercial law firm, today announced the internal promotion of 20 lawyers, including four partners.

Lorna McCaa, currently a director in MMS' tax group, based in the firm's Glasgow office, becomes a partner, along with Edinburgh-based corporate specialist Claire Armstrong and Craig Neilson of the firm's commercial dispute resolution team in London, and property lawyer Anju Suneja, who works between MMS' Glasgow and London offices specialising in English property law.  

Completing the tranche of internal promotions, the firm has also appointed six directors and ten associates. 

MMS chief executive, Kenneth Shand, says: “These promotions cover all our offices and a number of practice areas, which speaks volumes for the breadth and depth of experience we have within MMS.  The individuals have combined talent with extremely hard work and exceptional dedication to clients.  The firm is well positioned for growth and the elevation of this outstanding group of lawyers will play an important part in that."
