IP & corporate teams expand with triple partner hire

Law firm McCarthy Denning has announced the appointment of three partners, bolstering its IP and corporate teams.

Dawn Osborne (pictured) joins the firm after 15 years of working in IP boutiques. She brings with her more than 25 years of experience in the field, with expertise spanning trade marks, copyright, internet law, confidentiality and privacy. She focuses her practice on litigation, advice and mediation; she is also a board member of the Federation Against Software Theft, and head of its legal advisory group.

David Sant (right) has moved to McCarthy Denning with almost 30 years of IP experience, and has previously held positions at CMS Cameron McKenna, Bird and Bird, and Taylor Wessing. He specialises in patent matters, particularly related litigation and arbitration, and spent 16 years at the European Patent Office in Brussels.

Insolvency and restructuring specialist Jon Yorke (centre) joins the firm after more than four years with Cooley LLP. He focuses on the financial services sector, particularly the insurance industry. He is highly experienced advising a wide range of parties in the restructuring field, including investors, creditors, banks and corporations.

Co-founder and CEO of McCarthy Denning Warren Wooldridge stated: ‘We would like to welcome Dawn, David and Jon who are all highly-experienced lawyers with market leading credentials. They will work closely with our existing team to bolster our IP, corporate and insurance practices.

‘2019 is an exciting year for McCarthy Denning and we have a renewed focus on strengthening our existing presence in the legal market through high-calibre recruits, especially now that we have relocated to a larger and more contemporary office space to accommodate such growth.’
