Firm promotes across Nottingham & Leicester

East Midlands firm Nelsons Solicitors has announced a wave of promotions across its offices in Nottingham and Leicester.

The promotions have seen two of the firm’s members, Alice Rees and Lewis Addison, join the partnership. Alice (pictured), who has been with the firm since 2004 when she joined as a trainee, specialises in corporate matters such as mergers and acquisitions and company reorganisations, and works in the Nottingham office. She commented: ‘I am very proud to have been promoted to partner at Nelsons and feel this is recognition of my commitment and dedication over the past 14 years with the firm.’

Lewis, who is based in the firm’s Leicester office, joined the firm in 2008, and focuses his practice on inheritance, trusts and property disputes. He said: ‘Inheritance disputes have increased substantially over the past ten years and I am incredibly excited to build the practice in this area.’

Nelsons’ chief executive Stewart Vandermark stated: ‘I am thrilled to have welcomed Alice and Lewis to the partnership, who each illustrate how with hard work and dedication our lawyers can build careers with us.’

In addition to the two new partners, Nelsons has also promoted three employees to associate in the Nottingham office, and a further three in Leicester. In Nottingham, finance manager Kirsty Tompkin, commercial property specialist Paul Hinchliffe, and Chartered Legal Executive and medical negligence expert Carolle White will all move to associate positions. In Leicester, the three new associates are commercial property lawyer Peter Rees, children law expert Priti Vadgama, and medical negligence solicitor Danielle Young.
