New Arbitration Rules

The Chartered Institute for Arbitration (CIArb) has launched a new set of rules. The Arbitration Rules 2015 apply to both domestic and international arbitrations, and are based on the widely used UNCITRAL Arbitration Rules 2010 but with significant additions. They are effective from 1 December 2015 and replace the current CIArb Arbitration Rules 2000. The new rules include provision for emergency proceedings. CIArb is currently looking to establish a “court” to deal with challenges.
