NLJ this week: Go compare?

44735
Online review and price comparison websites for solicitors may sound like a good idea from a consumer’s point of view, but the reality is quite different, John Gould, senior partner at Russell-Cooke, writes in this week’s NLJ

Gould argues the Competition and Markets Authority’s (CMA) bright idea has made price comparison information more opaque. Lawyers have now been asked to engage with a selection of review websites to provide more authoritative information.

Gould writes: ‘An unkind person might say the CMA is a little like a door-to-door salesman who always has another magic duster if you won’t buy the mop’.
