Justice leaders from around the world will gather in London next month for the Society for Computers and Law’s inaugural international forum on online courts. The Lord Chief Justice, Lord Burnett will welcome delegates from more than 20 countries to the two-day event at DLA Piper’s offices on 3 and 4 December. Also addressing the forum, David Gauke, the Lord Chancellor, will emphasise the importance of reform in a digital age. Susan Acland-Hood, Chief Executive of HM Courts and Tribunals Service (HMCTS) and Professor Richard Susskind, President of The Society for Computers and Law, will chair the forum. Prof Susskind said the work of courts around the world will ‘increasingly be conducted online’.
