Practising fee views?

Barristers are invited to make their views known on practising certificate fees

The Bar Council and Bar Standards Board are holding a consultation on the proposed rates for 2020/21, which are scheduled to remain at their current level. The fee is banded on a sliding scale from £100 for those earning £30,000 or less, through to £2,500 for anyone with an income of more than £500,000 and £3,000 for income of more than £1m. Views should be sent to treasurer@barcouncil.org.uk by 5pm on 18 December 2019.
