Associate promoted to partner & dispute resolution head

SAS Daniels LLP has announced the promotion of Anna Barnes, who as partner will now take on the role of head of dispute resolution.

Anna, a commercial litigator who joined the firm in 2016 from Manchester firm Berg, will manage a team of solicitors and legal advisers across the firm’s Stockport, Macclesfield, Congleton and Chester offices. The dispute resolution practice advises on a wide range of matters, including debt recovery, intellectual property disputes, contentious probate and professional negligence.

SAS Daniels’ managing partner Jeremy Orrell said: ‘Anna is a valued member of our team and has proven herself to be a dynamic individual and a great team leader. Her legal experience is second to none, including her skills in the High Court and with Court of Appeal cases. Under Anna’s leadership, we will continue to grow our dispute resolution team across the North West for local and national businesses.’

Anna added: ‘I’m looking forward to growing the team so we can offer a wide range of valued advice and services to even more businesses. Since joining SAS Daniels two years ago, I’ve seen our number of specialisms grow and I’m looking forward to taking a leading role in developing the team further.’
