Definitive sentencing guidelines have been issued by the Sentencing Guidelines Council in respect of Assault and Other Offences Against the Person and Assaults on Children and Cruelty to a Child

Definitive sentencing guidelines have been issued by the Sentencing Guidelines Council in respect of Assault and Other Offences Against the Person and Assaults on Children and Cruelty to a Child (see http://www.sentencing-guidelines.gov.uk/guidelines/ council/quick.html).

These guidelines apply to adult offenders who are sentenced on or after 3 March 2008.
