R (on the application of Soma Oil and Gas Ltd) v Director of the Serious Fraud Office [2016] EWHC 2471 (Admin), [2016] All ER (D) 68 (Oct)

The Divisional Court refused the claimant company’s application for permission to seek judicial review of the defendant director of the Serious Fraud Office’s continuing investigation into whether the claimant company had committed bribery and corruption offences. It certified its decision as citable, given its reiteration of the very high hurdle to be overcome when seeking to challenge the decisions of investigators.
