The Law Society, along with the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners and Solicitors for the Elderly, is seeking examples of delays to the probate service ahead of a meeting next month with HM Courts and Tribunals (HMCTS).
In June, HMCTS said the backlog was decreasing because they had assigned extra staff to probate despite experiencing staffing issues and having finite resource for training. Examples of delays of more than six weeks should be sent to emily.weidner@lawsociety.org.uk.
