In brief

The deadline for the submission of application forms for this year’s silk appointments has been extended to 2pm on Monday 29 January 2007. Applicants have to pay an application fee of £2,500, with successful lawyers having to pay a further £3,000 when the appointments are announced at the end of this year. Applications forms are available at www.qcapplications.org.uk/guidance.
