Firm appoints Court of Protection expert
Court of Protection specialist Michael Knott has joined the team at Slater and Gordon Lawyers.
Formerly a partner with Irwin Mitchell for over eight years, Michael has more than 30 years of experience in cases involving the most vulnerable people in society. He has joined Slater and Gordon’s specialised Court of Protection team, which acts for clients who lack capacity to make decisions about their welfare and finances. In addition, he will also jointly head the firm’s wills, taxes, trusts and probate (WTTP) team.
Michael said: ‘I help the most vulnerable people who have been through the most difficult challenges. If I can make a small difference to their lives, then it’s worthwhile. To see clients who have survived such life-changing events actually smile is really rewarding.’
He continued: ‘I have three decades’ experience in the industry with both national and international work and I hope I can share my knowledge with the group to help the business continue to grow. The Court of Protection and WTTP teams at Slater and Gordon are brilliant groups of people and we’re all excited to see what we can achieve together.’
