University of Law offers monthly fee payments

Law students are to be allowed to pay fees for their postgraduate training in monthly instalments, in an unusual move by the University of Law (ULaw).

Students enrolling onto the Graduate Diploma in Law (GDL), Legal Practice Course (LPC) and Bar Professional Training Course (BPTC) this September will be given the option of paying by monthly direct debit to spread the cost of their studies.

ULaw said it was responding to feedback from students. Last year, it introduced a monthly payment scheme for part-time postgraduate courses, which was “extremely well received”, according to ULaw’s vice president, Sarah Hutchinson.
