Commercial property team expands with consultant’s arrival

Midlands firm Sydney Mitchell LLP has welcomed Richard Cox to its commercial property team as a consultant solicitor.

Richard joins the firm in Shirley, after more than 17 years with Shakespeare Martineau in Stratford where he was a partner and head of the real estate team. He brings with him wide experience in the commercial property field, including advising on development projects, renewable energy matters, and landlord and tenant issues.

Richard commented: ‘It is great to join such a well- known, long established and award-winning Midlands law firm. I am really looking forward to working with Shilpa and the corporate team and hope to add to the already excellent service they are providing to clients.’

Div Singh, Sydney Mitchell’s senior partner, also said: ‘Richard’s commercial property expertise and experience is a great addition to the team and he has certainly hit the ground running quite literally; in addition to his legal skills he has recently been awarded Participation Coach of the Year by Triathlon England.’
