Commercial property team expands with associate arrival

Sheffield firm Taylor&Emmet LLP has welcomed commercial property specialist Richard Whiteley to the team.

Richard (pictured, right) joins the firm after 15 years with Ellis-Fermor Negus Solicitors, where he spearheaded the opening of the Belper office. He handles a wide variety of commercial property matters, from helping business owners purchase premises, to negotiating leases on industrial units and the sale of multi-plot development sites.

Richard commented: ‘Having established myself in Derbyshire, it was a big decision to move into a new market, but the opportunity at Taylor&Emmet was too good to pass up. I had encountered the firm in previous transactions and admired its efficiency and professionalism. The business legal services team has a breadth of expertise only usually found in larger practices and I look forward to playing an integral role in its future success.’

Neil Riley (left), the firm’s head of real estate, added: ‘I would like to welcome Richard to the firm. His commercial acumen and approachable nature are already proving popular with clients and I have no doubt he will quickly build a reputation for excellence within the Sheffield city region. He is a great addition to our commercial property team.’
