Firm expands into banking and finance sector with newly appointed head of banking

Taylor Rose has strengthened its corporate offering with the appointment of Russell Jarvis as head of banking. The move marks the firm’s expansion into the banking and finance sector, reflecting its growing ambitions in corporate lending and structured finance.

Russell joins from Shakespeare Martineau, where he was a senior partner in the banking team, following senior roles at Womble Bond Dickinson and other leading firms. Bringing over 30 years’ experience advising borrowers and lenders across sectors such as healthcare, education, leisure and retail, he will lead Taylor Rose’s development of its banking capabilities.

Adrian Jaggard, CEO of Taylor Rose, said Russell’s appointment would be pivotal to the firm’s growth plans: ‘Russell’s deep sector expertise and strategic mindset are exactly what we need to build a high-performing, client-focused banking division.’ He added that Jarvis’s leadership would help create ‘a more integrated, ambitious offering across the firm.’

Commenting on his new role, Russell Jarvis said there was ‘huge potential to support new market lenders and borrowers with strategic legal solutions’ and described joining Taylor Rose as ‘an exciting opportunity to build a strong banking practice’ offering clients ‘a smarter, more integrated approach to legal support in a constantly evolving financial landscape.’
